About Abelardo's History

First State Renovation, located in Delaware, was founded by Abelardo Chitay, a hardworking professional with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. Abelardo’s story began in 2005 when he arrived in the U.S., chasing his dream since childhood: owning his own business. He started out working as a flooring installer, and by 2012, he took the leap and launched his own flooring and interior design business. It wasn’t an easy journey. Shortly after buying his first cargo van, it caught fire. It took him three years to recover from that setback, but Abelardo’s resilience and hard work
pushed him forward.

Over time, he expanded his services, adding painting, remodeling, and eventually roofing. Abelardo discovered a passion for roofing and saw it as an opportunity to protect families by delivering quality workmanship. A highlight of his career was working on a large project at a hotel, which marked a significant step forward for his business. First State Renovation continues to grow with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivering top-notch results.
